The PDARC Yankton Repeater is located high atop the Dakota Plains Ag facility 5.25 miles northwest of Yankton. With antennas at 140′ on the blue metal tower at top of the structure, the electronic equipment is located in a mechanical room on the roof. It is linked to our Spencer, Norwegian Hill and Vermillion repeaters.
INSTALLED SUMMER OF 2020
The Yankton repeater site was built out in the summer of 2019 at Napa Junction. A great deal of the labor was provided by Darin Dalluge (KB0HYH), Kurt Hauser (AE0A), Fred DeRoos (WA0GMH) and Matt Peabody (W8ADK) with Jim Brewer (KE0IDM), and Richard Nedved (N0OII) providing ground support.
The Yankton repeater was previously located on an old water tower at the Human Services Center. The tower was demolished and as such a new location had to be found. Many thanks to Dakota Plains Ag for offering a fantastic solution!
