The PDARC Vermillion Repeater is located in the City of Vermillion near the corner of Jefferson and East Duke.. On a 120′ tower, the repeater is linked to the PDARC Yankton and Vermillion repeaters.
INSTALLED JULY 7, 2015
On Tuesday, July 7 ,2015 The PDARC Vermillion Repeater went on the air. All of the tower work was done by Ed Gray (W0SD). The ground crew for the two work days were Matt Peabody (AD0P) and Ed Goesch (AD0ED).
On Monday July 27th Fred WA0GMH, Matt AD0P and Ed W0SD installed Fred’s Link controller and linked the Vermillion Repeater into the PDARC Two Meter System. At that point the PDARC Two Meter System consisted of linked sites at Norwegian Hill, Yankton and Vermillion.
The tower came down in May of 2018 due to a vehicle strike and was put back up by PDARC in August. Darin Dalluge (KB0HYH) did the tower work. A pre-amp was added and with no de-sense the coverage area was expanded.
